We are partnering with women-supporting organizations to provide the resources and support they need to be successful. Our team also hosted a LadyBoss: Women Mean Business event in recognition of the contributions of women-owned businesses and the challenges they face.
We have partnered with various minority-serving organizations to better support our large and diverse minority communities in Monterey County. We are leveraging our resources and workshops with our partner’s contacts to support minority-owned businesses. Our team also hosted a Black Business Summit in recognition of the contributions and challenges black-owned businesses encounter. Additionally, we held “El Sueno Americano con Su ITIN”, a workshop aimed at providing undocumented persons information on how to start a business and purchase a home with their ITIN.
Our team partners closely with the three LGBTQ+ groups that serve the LGBTQ+ community in Monterey County, Salinas Valley Pride Celebrations, Monterey Peninsula Pride, and Pajaro Valley Pride. Through a joint collaboration with Salinas Valley Pride Celebrations, we working on creating a comprehensive LGBTQ+ business directory for Monterey County to provide our LGBTQ+ residents access to goods and services in an environment that is accepting of their identity.
The Building Business Back team has established collaborations with the various jurisdictions in Monterey County located in rural areas. Through partnerships, our team has been able to host workshops at satellite locations in rural areas to increase access to our FREE services. We continue to work with our rural partners to support the economic vitality of their communities.
